What is reflexology?

Reflexology is a long-established healing practice that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, which correspond to organs and body systems. By stimulating these reflex points, circulation in the blood, lymph, and nervous system is enhanced, supporting the nourishment of tissues and organs.

Precise application of these techniques helps to relax and balance the body while stimulating its natural healing potential.

As a holistic treatment, reflexology offers a wide range of benefits and is suitable for people of all ages. By reducing stress, pain, and inflammation, it can promote better sleep, improved digestion, increased vitality, and overall well-being.

Techniques

I incorporate four key techniques, tailoring each session to individual needs by blending different elements.

Clinical Reflexology - This classical Western approach maps the entire body through reflex points in the feet and hands. It’s the most widely recognised reflexology method and forms the foundation of my practice.

Orthopaedic Reflexology - Focusing on the muscles, bones, ligaments, and nerves in the feet and lower legs, this technique involves deeper pressure and targeted manipulations. It is particularly beneficial for sports injuries, muscle tightness, joint imbalances, plantar fasciitis, and chronic pain.

Chinese Medicine Reflexology -This method works with meridians and acupuncture points in the feet and hands to balance energy (qi). By identifying areas of excess or depletion, it supports the natural restoration of equilibrium. This technique is effective for those with chronic or long-term health conditions.

Precision Reflexology - A gentle, energy-based approach, Precision Reflexology uses light touch to connect different parts of the body, promoting deep relaxation and emotional release. It’s helpful for those experiencing heightened sensitivity or holding strong emotional tension.
